Propolis for cystitis

A cystitis is usually not dangerous, but extremely uncomfortable to painful for the patient concerned. The signs of a cystitis are pain when urinating (alguria), which can usually be felt as a burning sensation, and a frequent urge to urinate, with only small amounts of urine being passed (pollakiuria).

Unfortunately, a cystitis can be quite painful. Constant need to urinate, burning sensation when urinating, and pain are typical symptoms of cystitis. And unfortunately, cystitis is also not uncommon. Young women, pregnant women and women going through menopause suffer from the common infectious disease.

Nevertheless, a cystitis is harmless and quickly cured in the vast majority of cases. Below we give you tips on how propolis can support the healing process.

The most important remedy for a cystitis is simply water. You should drink at least 2 liters a day. This is important so that the bladder is flushed well.

How can propolis help with a bladder infection?

Due to its many ingredients, propolis has a very broad spectrum of activity and is therefore used in both naturopathy and human medicine. Propolis is said to have antibacterial, fungicidal, cell protecting, antiviral and wound healing properties.

Propolis is a completely natural product, the different forms of action of which have been confirmed in numerous studies.

Bees have always used propolis to protect themselves against pathogens and intruders such as bacteria, germs, fungi and viruses. To protect the beehive, bees produce propolis to keep intruders out. Propolis comes from the Greek and means "in front of the city". And that's exactly where the unwanted intruders stay.

There are different ways to treat cystitis with propolis:

Propolis tincture / propolis drops:
The recommended dosage is to take 1 drop of propolis tincture per kg of body weight and to distribute this over 3 doses a day. In other words, for an adult weighing 60 kg, this would be 3x 20 drops. Ideally, you can put the drops in a little water and drink or take honey on a spoon.

Important: Please check in advance whether there is an allergy. To do this, take only one tenth of the recommended dose and increase this daily until you reach the recommended dose after 10 days. If in doubt, consult the veterinarian again for a dog.

Propolis powder:
Dissolve approx. 10 grams of propolis powder in 1 glass of water 2-3 times a day and drink it slowly.

Propolis capsules:
Take approx. 1-2 capsules daily

What are the ingredients in propolis?
Over 250 identified valuable ingredients in propolis. Even if you now know the ingredients very well, propolis is a mystery, because only natural propolis has a balance that no industrially manufactured product can have. The busy bees produce this “miracle cure” all by themselves in a natural process. Propolis consists of approx. 50% resin and approx. 25% essential oils, pollen, minerals and trace elements, as well as flavones and acids.

The main ingredients are:

  • Wax components
  • Vitamins A, B, C, E, H or B7 (better known as biotin, the active ingredient for skin and hair)
  • Iron, chromium, copper, zinc, manganese, selenium, magnesium, silicon
  • Enzymes
  • amino acids
  • Organic flavonoids
  • Polyphenols

Be careful when buying propolis
In general, if you want to achieve the best effect, you should only buy high-quality propolis with the highest possible propolis content. In the case of inferior goods, the effect often leaves a lot to be desired. Do not save in the wrong place under any circumstances - a high-quality product cannot be found in the supermarket for a few euros. In addition, one should make sure that propolis is not contaminated.
