Your guests will be delighted by this delicious roast beef with spicy forest honey.
- 3 kg roast beef
- 3 tsp honey (we recommend our Honig-Schmidt forest honey)
- 3 bay leaves
- 3 tbsp oil
- 3 rosemary sprigs
- 3 thyme branches
- 6 juniper berries
- Salt, pepper
- 1 litre of water
- 1/2 litre strong red wine
Wash the roast beef and pat dry. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the meat vigorously from all sides. Season with salt and pepper.
Peel and cut the onion and garlic into small pieces. Add together with crushed juniper berries and bay leaves and fry briefly. Then remove the meat, sprinkle with the forest honey and warm.
Remove the fondwith wine. Add water, thyme, peppercorns and rosemary twigs and bring to the boil. Then place the roast back in the brew. Place the roaster in the oven preheated to 200 degrees and let it cook for 4 hours at 90 degrees.
Enjoy your meal!
